Mendez High School is pioneering the community-school based transformation model which insists that schools, parents and community partners work collaboratively for the sake of their students. We believe that by leveraging our combined resources, we can create an environment of academic and personal success.
 
BH Technology Youth Center/BH Youth Opportunity Movement LAYOM is a vocational, educational, career and social support program for youth who need support to graduate and obtain post secondary guidance.
 
City Year helps students and schools to succeed and builds stronger communities by developing young leaders and fostering active citizenship. Their focus on youth leadership, individualized services, and system-level improvements is in sync with BHPN. City Year will work to create personalized learning environments. The agency will provide its proven model for Response to Intervention early identification system and provide extended instructional activities at the target schools to address academic and behavioral issues.
 
Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s leading high school dropout prevention organization, whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Since its founding in 2007, Communities In Schools of Los Angeles (CISLA) has grown to serve over 16,000 students each year at 12 of the highest-need local middle and high schools. CISLA is addressing the Los Angeles dropout crisis by modifying the fundamental way in which student supports are delivered to schools and families in our city. CISLA places Site Coordinators, passionate and extensively trained social workers and counselors, directly into LAUSD schools to support both individual student as well as school-wide needs.
 
Hollenbeck PAL Mission: In partnership with LAPD, to prepare and empower underserved and underprivileged youth to lead responsible, productive, and fulfilling lives.
 
Inner City Struggle (ICS) promotes safe, healthy and non-violent communities by organizing youth and families in Boyle Heights and other Eastside areas to work towards economic, social and educational justice. Their approach aligns directly with the BHPN theories of change and action, and ICS was recognized nationally for its success in creating educational systems changes. ICS will support lead strategies related to college completion supports, healthy environments, and safe public spaces.
 
Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission, is a non-profit founded by Boyle Heights residents and the California Province of Jesuits. Its mission is to empower the community personally and socially by developing grassroots projects in education, leadership, and service. Proyecto’s focus on education achievement, action strategies and community leadership make them the right fit to lead BHPN. In addition to their role as lead agency, Proyecto will lead and provide services related to early development, extended learning, safe public spaces, healthy environments, college completion, & leadership development.
 
IMPACTO Case Management provides 1:1 case management (in school); pair students up with a mentor (young professionals from community); after-school tutoring (at Proyecto); offer workshops on leadership, soft skills, and other topics identified by students.
 
IMPACTO “Beyond the Bell” offers after school teacher-based academic, educational (e.g. self enrichment), and physical education programming
 
Promesa Boyle Heights is a collaborative working to build a community of opportunity that allows children to learn, grow and succeed from cradle to college while ensuring families can live a stable, healthy and fulfilling life. At Mendez, we are building a community-school model that strengthens student achievement, college readiness, and connects teachers, students, and families to leadership opportunities in the school & community.
